The very first public screening of the film was followed by a Q&A with Dylan and director Terry Loane, and an exclusive performance by Dylan of the title track, which shares its name with the film.
As described by the festival…
British singer Dylan Holloway, formerly known as Lots Holloway, stepped away from fame during the 2020 lockdown to begin his gender transition. Once a rising star on the UK’s X-Factor, Dylan faces a deeply personal and professional crisis – hormone therapy threatens to permanently alter the voice that built his career. Through candid video diaries, family archives and intimate interviews, the film traces Dylan’s childhood, struggles with identity and the emotional cost of living in the public eye. Both a music documentary and a moving portrait of trans experience, Tomorrow’s Too Late conveys the bravery of undergoing transformation, wherein the search for an authentic self means risking everything.
Selected as part of the Rhythms strand at Sheffield DocFest, Tomorrow’s Too Late explores themes of LGBTQIA+ identity, music and dance, and personal portraiture. Made with support from Northern Ireland, it’s a celebration of individuality and artistic expression, highlighting the evolving landscape of British music and queer visibility.
