In Theatres and On Demand & On Digital from November 14th
1934. Now a private detective, Miranda Green leaves England for Egypt. She must investigate a murder perpetrated in a supposedly inviolable place: the British Embassy in Cairo, where a top secret document was stolen the same night. All those present in this closed place are suspected: the American photographer, the English student, the American actress, the Egyptian security guard, the ambassador interpreter, the Egyptian gardener and – why not? – the Ambassador himself. But who would have expected that a small group of Nazis would be behind a plot, risking to jeopardize both Buckingham Palace and the peace of the world?
Ryan O’Rourke from Collider had this to say:
In just under two months, Mischa Barton will officially be back on the case in the new mystery film Murder at the Embassy. Collider can exclusively share the first trailer for the upcoming whodunnit, which sees The O.C. star step back into the shoes of florist and Agatha Christie enthusiast turned private investigator Miranda Green. First introduced in 2023’s Invitation to a Murder, she’s now become a more official super sleuth and is taking her skills to Cairo, where a suspicious murder has occurred within the seemingly impervious walls of the British Embassy. What she discovers, however, is a much more concerning case unfolding with potential global implications.
Barton will be joined by an entirely new and talented ensemble for Murder at the Embassy. Leading the list of potential suspects is American Sniper alum Mido Hamada, whose character appears to be one of the few who manages to gain Green’s trust and accompany her on the investigation. Also on board are Antonia Bernath, Nell Barlow, Kojo Attah, Raha Rahbari, and Richard Dillane. Returning behind the camera from Invitation to a Murder is director Stephen Shimek, with Mark Brennan taking up writing duties this time around.
