Bad Mother smashed it at directors’ Marnie Baxter’s home town in the Shetland Film Festival.

The film is the directorial debut by Marnie Baxter and Nicola Stuart-Hill, and explores the struggles of motherhood, questioning our relationship with strangers in this modern world, and how we judge each other as mums.

Film critic legend, Mark Kermode said Bad Mother was ‘an excellently unsettling directorial debut’.
